As though his sherwani wasn’t enough to win fans over, John Cena was spotted wearing a turban at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. The WWE star turned Hollywood actor flew down to Mumbai on Friday morning to attend the Ambani wedding. He was spotted walking down the red carpet wearing a blue sherwani. After striking a few poses for the cameras, John was escorted into the wedding venue and was seen seated to tie a turban.
In a video shared on Instagram, a patient John Cena was seated still while a wedding party member wrapped a turban around his head. The Suicide Squad star looked adorable in the turban. Watch the video here.
Earlier in the day, John was seen at the private airport in Mumbai. He landed in Mumbai early Friday morning and greeted the paparazzi with a big wave. He then re-appeared at the wedding venue. He was seen striking his trademark pose for his days in WWE on the red carpet.
John is not the only international celebrity in town for the wedding. Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and singer Rema are also invited. Several Bollywood stars are also expected to attend the bash. These include Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Janhvi Kapoor, to name a few.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding begin today, July 12. The family is hosting the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function. The dress code is Indian traditional. On July 13, the Ambani family will be the day of Shubh Aashirwad and the dress code is Indian formal. July 14 will be the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception and the dress code is Indian chic. All these functions will be held in BKC.
