Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan managed to escape a fire accident by climbing down from the third floor at his residence on Friday night.

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan managed to escape a fire accident by "climbing down from the third floor" at his residence on Friday night.

Next morning after the incident, Haasan took to Twitter to clarify that no one got hurt.

"Thanks to my staff. Escaped a fire at my house. Lungs full of smoke; I climbed down from the third floor. I am safe, No one hurt. Goodnight," he wrote.

In another tweet, Haasan thanked his fans for their love and support and wrote, "Thanks for all the love and concern. Now off to sleep. Good night indeed."

The actor, who is currently mourning the death of his elder brother Chandra Haasan, is all set to begin the work on Sabash Naidu.
