Comedian Kunal Kamra has left Kangana Ranaut’s fans angry and disappointed. Recently, Kunal took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and mocked the actress amid the controversy surrounding her upcoming movie Emergency. The comedian called Kangana a ‘psychological thriller’ and taunted her.
“Kangana is the first actress to become a movie genre. You can make a psychological thriller but Kangana is a psychological thriller. Congratulations queen,” he wrote. Check it out here:

However, his sarcasm did not go down well with Kangana Ranaut’s fans who slammed the comedian and called him a ‘failure’. “You are that Kunal that doesn’t even require Ganjawala title to show how high you are,” one of the users wrote. “Kangana Ranaut’s situation is unfortunate, as she is facing censorship even though she is an MP in the government,” added another. “Kangana Ranaut has a remarkable achievement of becoming only the third actress to win consecutive National Awards for Best Actress,” a third comment read.
This comes at a time when Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The film was supposed to hit theatres on September 6 was postponed because of pending certification from the censor board. Emergency has also been facing boycotts and ban calls. Several Sikh organisations have accused the film of presenting the community in the wrong light. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Akhal Takht have also demanded an immediate ban on the film, claiming it tries to “character assassinate” Sikhs by creating a narrative against them.
However, it was recently reported that the film has finally received UA certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with the condition of three edits and providing factual sources for some historical quotes. These included statements by US President Richard Nixon about Indian women and Winston Churchill’s comment on Indians “breeding like rabbits,” as reported by The Sunday Express.
