In a heartfelt Facebook post, Sanjay Padiyoor shared the devastating news that the talented actor Nirmal Benny tragically passed away at the age of 37 due to a fatal heart attack.

Malayali actor Nirmal Benny, best known for his role in the film ‘Amen’, tragically passed away in the early hours of August 23, 2024, at the age of 37. The heartbreaking news was shared by his close friend and producer Sanjay Padiyoor, who took to social media to express his sorrow.

In a poignant Facebook post, Sanjay revealed that Nirmal succumbed to a heart attack in Thiruvananthapuram. He wrote, “Bidding adieu to my dear friend… The Kochachan role of ‘Amen’ and the central character he played in my ‘Dooram’. He died early this morning due to a heart attack. Praying to God that the soul of my dear friend rests in eternal peace.”

Nirmal Benny, a talented actor, rose to fame for his memorable portrayal of Kochachan (junior priest) in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s critically acclaimed film *Amen*. His career in the film industry began in 2012 with the movie ‘Navagatharkku Swagatham’, and he went on to appear in a total of five films, including *Amen* and ‘Dooram.

Nirmal also left his mark on the digital world through his appearances in popular YouTube videos. His untimely demise has left a void in the industry and among his fans.
