After a hiatus of almost two years, Mallika Sherawat has made her comeback in Bollywood. The actor was recently seen in Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video where she played the role of Chanda. Her role in the film was appreciated by fans and she is currently basking in the success. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about her relationship status. She revealed that is currently enjoying singlehood.
In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, Mallika Sherawat opened up about being single. She revealed that she gets a lot of attention which she enjoys but at the same time, she also gets a lot of unwanted attention as well. She was asked if she was single. She replied in the affirmative and said, “Jahan mann aaya chal diye. (Wherever I want, I can go) That’s what I am loving.”
Sherawat spoke about how a person needs to be worthy enough of someone’s time to enter a committed relationship. She spoke about how if someone decides to invest their time and emotions in someone else, the other person needs to be worthy of that.
The actor was known for her bold scenes and for always speaking her mind. While she received immense fame, she also faced judgment. In an earlier interview, she spoke about how she had to leave the country to deal with the trolling and the misogynist comments. “I left the country. That’s how I dealt with it. The kind of bullying and harassment I have faced by a certain section of the media, the common public, and the judgment that I faced. You know I couldn’t deal with it; it just broke my heart. I left the country. I said, ‘I need to go out of this country to really feel sane,’” Sherawat said.
Sherawat had made her Bollywood debut with Khwahish but she received fame and success after she played the role of Simran in Mukesh Bhatt’s Murder alongside Emraan Hashmi.
