Fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta is embarking on a journey into motherhood. The stylish star recently made a delightful pregnancy announcement that surprised many in the film industry. For those who may not know, Masaba entered into matrimonial bliss with her beloved, Satyadeep Mishra, on January 27, 2023, in a close-knit wedding ceremony. The event was truly enchanting, with her family in full attendance, including her father, Vivian Richards, who traveled from the Caribbean specially for the occasion.
Masaba prefers to maintain her privacy and had not previously discussed her second marriage or romantic life publicly. Nonetheless, she chose an inventive approach to share her pregnancy news, opting out of the traditional baby bump photos. On April 18, 2024, Masaba posted on her Instagram a depiction represented by emojis: a pregnant woman, alongside emojis of a man and woman with hearts for eyes. Alongside a photograph with her husband Satyadeep, where they are seen sitting comfortably on the floor, Masaba dressed in a white robe and resting her head on Satyadeep’s shoulder, looking serene. Accompanying the picture, she wrote a playful note requesting good wishes and banana chips, stating, “In other news – Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings, and banana chips (plain salted ONLY) #babyonboard #momanddad.”
Masaba Gupta’s mother Neena Gupta also shared a picture of the couple along with the caption, “Humare bacchon ka baccha aane Wala hai. Isse zyada Khushi ki baat Kya ho sakti hai.”
Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Mishra tied the knot on 27th January and took to social media to announce it. Sharing a photo of them, Masaba wrote, “Married my ocean of calm,this morning.Here’s to many many lifetimes of love,peace,stability & most importantly laughter. And thanks for letting me pick the caption – this is gonna be great! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
In an exclusive interaction with News18, the Modern Love Mumbai actor had talked about her new phase of life as well as her husband. She had told us,“I’ve got a great partner. He’s somebody who’s truly my calm. I meant what I said in the caption [on Instagram]. When I go back and I’ve him with me, nothing can affect me. That feels really great.”
In a past interview with Vogue, Masaba spoke candidly about her discreet wedding, expressing her desire for a modest affair focused more on personal joy than ostentation. She emphasized, “The idea of choosing something intimate was because we’re both conscious of not wasting ridiculous amounts of money. We are extremely private people, and we want to be in the presence of family and loved ones for memorable days like these. We’ve both been there before, and we saw that it doesn’t make sense to do things that stress you out on such an important day. This is truly a private moment for both of us, and more than anything, we wanted to enjoy it.”
Masaba also conveyed her happiness about her father, Vivian Richards, making the journey to attend her wedding. It was a landmark occasion as her father, stepfather, and mother, along with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, were all together for the first time. She was deeply moved by this and stated, “It meant a lot that my father flew down from the Caribbean. It’s the first time in my life that my stepfather, my father, my mother, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law are all going to be in the same room celebrating together. For me, that’s the biggest moment of my life, and I wanted that to be intimate.”
