As per the latest reports, it looks like AR Murugadoss is all set to go big as he has approached Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Bollywood action hero Vidyut Jammwal for SK23. The two will be seen in important roles. The project was reportedly to go on floors in January 2024. It is touted to be an action-drama with a social reform angle and is expected to be a big-budget movie.
SK23 is produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies. It is the same banner which released Kangana Ranaut’s Chandramukhi 2 in Telugu. Various media reports claimed that Mrunal Thakur is being roped in as the lead actress, however, there has been no official confirmation yet. Currently, the team is working on the pre-production of the movie and if reports are anything to go by, then Anirudh Ravichander will be handling the music department of SK23.
AR Murugadoss has been on a hiatus for a few years. His last directorial was with Rajinikanth in Darbar and the movie had an underwhelming performance at the box office. He was also the producer for Raangi and August 16 1947 movies. The director has been reportedly working very hard for his upcoming movie and was busy researching to ensure SK23 ends up as a commercial blockbuster.
