A latest ad has caught the attention of the netizens precisely because of its fresh take on infertility. Featuring TV star Mona Singh, the ad is from the brand Prega News which manufactures home pregnancy test kits. Promoting the message that a woman is complete with or without becoming a mother, the tagline of the ad is ‘She Is Complete In Herself.’
Singh plays the role of Lata who is a teacher by profession. The video begins with Lata entering her home after a day at work. Her home was decorated with flowers as it was the baby shower of Lata’s sister-in-law. The heartwarming ad shows Lata playing the role of a caregiver, helping younger ones in the house with studies while also successfully fulfilling her professional responsibilities, as evident from the awards and certificates given to her.
Highlighting the many identities of Lata, her sister-in-law says that if a baby girl was born, she would be named after Latika, taking after the former’s name. Due to its heart melting content, the three-minute-long ad has been watched over 2,093,995 times since it was released a few days ago.
Released ahead of International Women’s Day 2021 which will be celebrated on March 8, the caption of the ad states that one in six couples suffers from infertility. It also urged people to speak up about these issues and make the world a better place for those facing infertility.
A Youtube user commented that the emotional ad is the best thing that she watched. Another commenter shared her story of suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which has caused infertility and thanked the brand for understanding the feelings of women who face infertility.
