Karthik Aryan is garnering worldwide acclaim from the audience and the critics alike, for his commendable portrayal of paralympic Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion. The film also proved to be a box-office superhit upon its release this month. The champion himself, Murlikant Petkar, has expressed his gratitude towards the film’s makers for bringing his story to the big screens.
Conveying his sincere appreciation towards the creators of the brilliant release, he shared his gratitude for getting his story to the masses. The Paralympic gold medalist stated, “I express my profound gratitude to the team that helped bring my inspiring story to a wider audience.” Speaking further he acknowledged the dedication Sajid Nadiadwala and his production banner NGE (Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment) put into bringing his story to a wider audience. It showed how committed they were in depicting the “bravery and resilience” of the Indian army, said Murlikant Petkar.
The paralympic champion also talked about the film’s emphasis on three sports. He stated that the film will prove to be a “powerful beacon of inspiration for the current generation, demonstrating the unwavering strength and dignity of our soldiers as well.” Continuing, Murlikant revealed that he never thought his story would reach the masses. He credited producer Sajid Nadiadwala, along with director Kabir Khan’s ‘masterful direction’ and Karthik Aryan’s ‘compelling performance,’ for achieving a feat he initially thought to be impossible.
Mentioning the whole team involved in the project, Murlikant Petkar extended his gratitude for their hard work and dedication. He said, “My heartfelt gratitude extends to the entire team, acknowledging their exceptional work in crafting a film that honours my life and the sacrifices made by countless others in service to our nation.”
Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion was released on June 14. It stars Karthik Aryan in the titular role, along with Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma and Rajpal Yadav. Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan produced the film under the banners of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films.
