Indian cinema has produced some of the biggest names in the film industry, many even reaching a global level of stardom. So usurpingly, actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Vijay have been included in the list of highest-paid celebrities, even topping it multiple times. This year someone else is expected to top the list, who is also a very influential part of Indian cinema.
The man in question is our very own Pushparaj, Allu Arjun. As per the reports, the actor is set to become the highest-paid actor in the country after the release of his upcoming, highly anticipated Pushpa: The Rule. The actor will reportedly share the profits from the film’s collections. The makers have laid out an estimate for Pushpa 2, so if it performs according to the estimate, Allu Arjun will be called the highest-paid actor in Indian cinema.
Haricharan Pudippedi, a prominent entertainment journalist revealed that Allu Arjun has not charged any fee for the sequel release. Rather, he will be sharing a reported 33 per cent of the film’s estimated profit. It means that the actor will earn through the release’s theatres, OTT, satellite, dubbed version, and music rights, receiving 33 per cent of the share.
According to the estimation of the makers, Puspa 2: The Rule is expected to mint around Rs 1000 crore at the box office. So, if everything goes as predicted, Allu Arjun will get Rs 330 crore, a record fee for any Indian actor. No confirmation has been made by the makers regarding the reports, yet.
Pushpa 2: The Rule will have its theatrical release on December 6. It is written as well as directed by Sukumar. The cast includes Allu Arjun in the titular role, along with an ensemble of Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj among many others. Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar are producing the film under the Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings banner. Composer Devi Sri Prasad will give the music.
