Rajkummar Rao, who is riding high on the success of Stree 2, recently turned 40. His family, friends and fans left no stone unturned in making the actor’s birthday special. Just days later, he took to his social media account to share his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made his birthday memorable and penned a note talking about his upcoming movie.
On September 3, Rajkummar posted a picture of himself sitting in front of a table with three cakes and making a wish before cutting them. He thanked his well-wishers and expressed his gratitude by saying, “Thank you so much guys for all your lovely birthday wishes. You guys have made my birthday very special. Sabhi Stree aur Purushon ko dil se dhanyawaad.”
Further in his note, the actor also talked about his transition from Bickkyy, his character in Stree 2, to Vicky, his role in the upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. He added, “From #Bickkyy to now #Vicky Ab taiyar ho jaiye #VickyVidyaKaWohWalaVideo Dekhne ke liye. Jald hi la rahe hain aapke liye. Zabardast Comedy se bharpoor entertainment.”
Raj’s post received love and well wishes from his industry friends and fans. Ayushmann Khurrana, Divyenndu, Preity Zinta and Abhishek Banerjee were among the notable names who showered love on his post. The actor’s fans also filled his comment section with their heartfelt wishes for him.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar’s wife, Patralekhaa, took to her Instagram account on August 31 and penned an adorable note for him to commemorate his 40th birthday. Sharing a video of her husband playing and posing at a snow-covered place, she wrote, “Happy Birthday Raj…What a massive year you have had..Beginning with Srikanth to Mahi to Stree..We often debate to be a great actor does one have to be a good human being? The answer is yes and I can confidently say this because of You..Cheers to many more characters to many more blockbusters to your uniqueness to your burning passion for your art & to your integrity..Love you.”
Rajkummar has had back-to-back releases in 2024. It started with Srikanth and Mr & Mrs Mahi, and most recently, Stree 2 hit the theatres. The latter became a blockbuster hit in no time and has broken several box-office records. At present, Rajkummar has the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, co-starring Triptii Dimri, in the pipeline. On August 31, he also announced his new film Maalik, directed by Pulkit.
