New mom Deepika Padukone couldn’t attend the Singham Again trailer launch on Monday. The actress, who recently welcomed a baby girl with Ranveer Singh, plays lady Singham in the film. While fans were heartbroken, Ranveer revealed that she sent her love to fans. He said that she couldn’t come for the trailer launch because she is taking care of the baby. The new father added that he takes over the night duties.
“Mulghi zaali re,” Ranveer announced, referring to the arrival of his and Deepika’s daughter. “Deepika is busy with the baby so she couldn’t come. My duty is in the night that’s why I came,” he said. He added that it is not only Deepika’s debut in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe but it is also his daughter’s debut in the universe, adding that Deepika was pregnant with the little one when she was shooting Singham Again. “Baby Singham ka debut hai,” Ranveer said.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8, 2024. Since then, they have been busy with their little one, and fans are excited to see Deepika as a mother. In the meantime, she shared a glimpse of this new phase in her life. Deepika recently changed her Instagram bio saying ‘Feed Burp Sleep Repeat’.
While Deepika has stayed away from the spotlight, she was spotted on the day she was discharged from the hospital last month. In photos shared by the paparazzi at the time, the new mom was seen leaving the hospital after she was discharged with Ranveer Singh by her side. Deepika sported a big smile and held her daughter close as the couple headed home. The couple is yet to announce the name of the little one.
Meanwhile, Ranveer and Deepika reunited for Singham Again after over six years. The last time the couple shared the screen was in Padmaavat, which released in January 2019. In Singham Again, Ranveer will be seen as Simmba while Deepika will be seen as Shakti. It is unclear if they are paired opposite each other in the film. Singham Again is set to release on the occasion of Diwali.
