Rebel Wilson Says She Felt ‘Disrespected’ On Brothers Grimsby Set
Rebel Wilson recently levelled shocking claims against her Brothers Grimsby co-star Sacha Baron Cohen.

Australian actress Rebel Wilson has recently been in the news, following a few surprising revelations in her memoir, Rebel Rising. From reflecting on her journey in the industry to struggles that she faced off-screen, her emotional journey through weight loss, and the shocking allegations against Sacha Baron Cohen on the sets of their 2016 film, The Brothers Grimsby, the actress gave a deep insight into her life. While Wilson’s details about her experience of working with Sacha Baron Cohen have already become a talking point on the internet, she has now shared more details, opening up on how she felt “disrespected” on the film’s sets.

In a conversation with The Sunday Times, Rebel Wilson began by recalling how she would fear speaking out, thinking that she would be labelled as a “troublemaker.” She also went on to describe the film as one of the “most professional experiences of her career.”

Speaking about the same, Wilson said that her outfits in the films were deliberately chosen to show off her fat and cellulite. “The costumes were chosen to see all the cellulite on my thighs and a top to show the fattest part of my arm…like I was something to be laughed at and degraded because of my size. It’s one thing for someone who is fat to exploit their size for comedy, but it’s another for somebody else to humiliate you,” she said.

Rebel Wilson accuses Sacha Baron Cohen of sexual harassment

The revelation comes amid the ongoing debate between Wilson and Cohen. While the actress in her forthcoming memoir claims that the British actor sexually harassed her on the sets of the film, the allegations have been denied by Cohen as well as the film’s producers.

Recently, the actress through a shocking social media post also confirmed that it was her The Brothers Grimsby co-star, about whom she was talking. “I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen,” she wrote on Instagram.

In a sharp reaction to this, Cohen while denying the allegations that he has been attempting to prevent her from publishing the memoir, said: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
