Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has surpassed Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara and Shraddha Kapoor to emerge as the ‘Most Popular Female Film Star In India’ as per a report by Ormax. While Samantha has emerged at the top spot, Alia had the second position.

Others on the list include Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Kajal Aggarwal, Shraddha Kapoor, Trisha, Katrina Kaif, Rashmika Mandanna and Kiara Advani. However, Samantha’s fans are excited to see that she has topped the list.

Talking about Samantha’s journey and her popularity with audiences, a trade insider reveals, “Samantha has always been someone who charted and followed her own course whilst standing strong in the face of every challenge – no matter how big or small. Samantha has always had a special place in the hearts of audiences and with her sense of purpose and keenness in wanting to make a difference has people awestruck. Expectations are quite from her with Citadel and I’m sure she will once again show why she’s ahead of the game.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny. It is the Indian series within the Citadel universe, originally headlined by Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Recently, the teaser of Citadel: Hunny Bunny was released when Samantha opened up about working with Varun Dhawan and said, “All he thinks about from the moment he wakes up is how to improve his craft. He’s constantly focused on how to perform each scene better. Not only is he dedicated to his work, but he’s also one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met.”

She has also begun shooting for Rakt Brahmand. It is directed by Rahi Anil Barve and created by Raj and DK. Mirzapur star Ali Fazal has reportedly joined the cast of Raj and DK’s upcoming web series opposite Samantha. Wamiqa Gabbi and Aditya Roy Kapur are also collaborating with Samantha on the Netflix original series. The fantasy drama Rakt Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom’s shoot began on September 19. A report from Mid-Day provided further insights into the show. According to an insider, Rakt Bramhand is Raj & DK’s first foray into the action-fantasy genre, set in a fictional kingdom.
