London: Ambitious digital trickery has always been the biggest asset with which Hollywood has mesmerised the film lovers across the world. In the recent past, it was been all about clever Computer Graphic Imagery (CGI) that marked the success of three consecutive Hollywood biggies-'Fast & Furious 7', 'Jurassic World' and now 'Terminator Genisys'. All these films took audience to a surreal world through magical wand of technology.

Paul Walker died before the completion of seventh edition of 'Fast and Furious', and director James Wan finished Paul’s character Brian O’Connor by digitally placing the actor’s face on the body doubles. In certain scenes, Paul’s brothers Cody and Caleb Walker, offered to play the body double. This was carefully combined with the CGI, accurate lighting and appropriate angles which brought Paul alive on the screen. Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital reportedly had helped in completing the crucial portions. The cutting-edge technology in 'Furious 7' made way for a future where an actor or prominent face can be seamlessly digitally re-created.

'Jurassic World' gave the new age audience Indominous Rex-a gigantic dinosaur fictitiously derived from the genetic makeup acquired from Tyrannosaurus Rex, Tree Frog, Cattle Fish and Velociraptor. Director Colin Trevorrow got the best team for video compositing, motion tracking, 3D graphics and titles, color correction, green scenes and more.

Now comes the most anticipated movie of the year, which unleashes a computer generated Arnie in Alan Taylor’s 'Terminator Genisys'. Instead of using the footage from James Cameron’s 1984 sci-fi thriller 'The Terminator', the movies unveil a CGI body model for Arnold. The digital face was mapped on Brett Azar; the body double with a bulky built up similar to that of young Arnold.

Highlight of the movie is Terminator showing up in the same spot as shown in the 80s film, on a mission to eradicate Sarah Connor (played by Emilia Clarke, best known for Game Of Thrones) running into the older cyborg, who is now protecting Sarah. A momentous scene consists of old Terminator (67 year old Arnie) and young Terminators tangled in a fight.

Team of Sheldon Stopsack, a visual-effects supervisor of Terminator Genisys was tasked with creating this summer’s extravaganza filled with wildest action scenes. Stopsack in the past created 'Guardians of The Galaxy' and 'X Men: Days Of Future Past' which fuelled him with a burning desire to create synthetic human beings. His team of animators and designers had tension-filled grind of several months that successfully enabled the team to create more than two dozen shots which will get just a few minutes of screen time.

Dedicated fans of Terminator series would not be disappointed to see young Arnie with a deadpan expression in action. He is back!
