South Indian superstar and actor-singer Thalapathy Vijay celebrated the success of his latest film Greatest of All Time (GOAT) directed by Venkat Prabhu. The video of the actor cutting the cake with producer Archana Kalpathi has been circulated on the social media platform, X.

The video has received widespread attention among his fans and followers. The celebration of the crew came after the film collected Rs 215 crores in the home state of Tamil Nadu after its release in the theatres on September 5. Apart from this, the makers of the film have also come up with an official announcement on the film’s box office as the film gained Rs 455 crore.

With these earnings, GOAT is Vijay’s second-highest-grossing film after Leo, which grossed over Rs 600 crore. The movie, which has been released on Netflix in multiple languages, features Vijay in a double role, portraying both Gandhi and his son Jeevan. The plot revolves around Gandhi, a former leader of a special anti-terrorist squad, who reunites with his old team to deal with unresolved issues from their past that are now affecting their present.

Earlier, there were reports that the actor is being paid Rs 150 crore for his double role in the film but the producer Archana Kalpathi has unveiled the remuneration of the actor for the film. She officially confirmed that Thalapathy Vijay was paid Rs 200 crore for his role in the film.

With this, he has also become the highest-paid actor in Indian Cinema. Nevertheless, the film also stars Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, Komal Sharma, and Trisha Krishnan. Apart from this, the movie’s music has been directed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography has been done by Siddhartha Nuni. Raju Sundaram, Sekhar VJ, and Sathish contributed their role in dance choreography.

This movie is reportedly said to be the final project of actor Vijay before he retires from acting as the actor is stepping into politics permanently.
