It is quite a common belief that the life of a film actor is full of luxuries. While it is partially true, it comes at a cost. What many people don’t know is that sometimes actors have to push their physical boundaries and attempt dangerous stunts for a film. There have been instances when actors got seriously injured or even reached the brink of death and made it alive out of a dangerous situation. One such actor is Sharwanand Myneni.
Sharwanand Myneni, aka, Sharwanand is a prominent face in the Telugu film industry. He has also dabbled in the Tamil film industry. The actor debuted in 2004 with the film, Aidho Tareekhu. Recently, the actor, in an interview, shared that he had to jump off a helicopter. During the shooting of Jaanu’s song, Life of Ram, he was in Thailand and had to skydive. It led to a fatal injury after an apparent parachute failure during his fifth skydiving attempt. It resulted in multiple injuries, a leg fracture and shoulder dislocation. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad. He said, “They have put two plates in my hand and one plate in my leg.” What shocked everyone was that it took him two and a half years to recover. Despite all the hard work and fatal injuries, the film proved to be a disaster at the box office.
Jaanu was released in 2020 and the Telugu romantic drama was directed by C Prem Kumar and Hrishikesh Bhargava. It is a remake of the Tamil film, 96. The film is headlined by Sharwanand and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It is backed by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Speaking of professional endeavours, Sharwanand worked in Engeyum Eppodhum in 2011 which earned him a SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut – Tamil. He also won the Nandi Special Jury Award for Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju. He has further featured in films like Prasthanam, Run Raja Run, Express Raja, Shathamanam Bhavati and Mahanubhavudu.
