Gangs of Sukumarakurup, directed by Shebi Chowghat and headlined by the actor Abu Salim is all set to release at the cinemas on September 13, 2024. The makers increased the fervour around this film by unveiling its trailer on September 11, 2024. The trailer shows how the five coffee shop owners in Trivandrum took to deceit and robbery to earn a living. They get embroiled in many crimes and soon the police officials start following their case.
These coffee shop owners are led by the notorious criminal Sukumara Kurup (Abu Salim). Gangs of Sukumarakurup’s trailer has garnered more than 50,000 views and counting. This film stars the ensemble star cast of actors Johny Antony, Gayathri, Sujith Shanker and others. Prominent director Shaji Kailas’s son Rushin Shaji Kailas will make his debut in the film industry with Gangs of Sukumarakurup backed by Prajeevim Movies.
The audience loved the trailer, particularly the glimpse of Shaji Kailas’s son Rushin Shaji Kailas. Many of them also liked the fact that the makers have given a chance to the newcomers who will be led by an experienced actor Abu Salim.
Back in August, the makers released the first official song from the film, which is titled Oodhu Peyyum Oru. It was released on the official YouTube channel of Saregama Malayalam. Afsal and Vineeth Sreenivasan rendered the vocals of the track with the lyrics penned by BK Harinarayanan.
Social media users shared their reactions to the song in the comments section. A user wrote, “Congratulations to Mejo and the entire team for delivering such a beautiful song." A second user shared, “In Mejo Joseph’s musical, Afsal and Vineeth Sreenivasan rock the song."
Earlier in February, the makers unveiled the official poster of the Gangs of Sukumarakurup, featuring the face of Dulquer Salmaan. Salmaan is one of the leading names in Malayalam cinema. It was shared on Instagram by the popular filmmaker Shaji Kailas. It was shared with the caption, “All the Very Best and Good luck to the entire team."
