Aamir Khan is known as the ‘perfectionist of Bollywood’ because he pays attention to the smallest nuances of filmmaking. From Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to Laal Singh Chaddha, the superstar has often portrayed his versatility. In a throwback interview, the megastar himself had said that he is a very intense lover. He also revealed that he once shaved his head after a breakup with his girlfriend. “A lot of people think I shaved my head for the film, when in fact I shaved my head for some other reason altogether. I lost a girl I loved; one day she told me she didn’t love me, so as a reaction I went and shaved my head off,” said Aamir in the interview. He also described his actions as very amateur and childish and laughingly said, “It was quite a childish and immature thing to do but that’s what I did. So when I met Ketan for the film, he asked me, ‘Where’s your hair?!’ I told him ‘Gone with the girl!’”.
When asked if he was an intense lover, Aamir Khan responded, “Ya I guess so. Sounds like it! She rejected me, we were in a relationship for a fair amount of time. If she felt she didn’t love me or valued me, it was something that I completely respect and till today I respect that decision of hers.”
He also revealed that he had fallen in love four times before meeting Reena Dutta and admitted to writing a love letter in blood to Reena, to which she got very upset.
Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986, and had two children, Junaid and Ira, before divorcing in 2002. He then married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, but the couple split in 2021.
Aamir Khan first appeared on screen as a child actor in the film Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Then he was featured in the film Holi as an adult. He started his full-time acting career as a lead in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Juhi Chawla was seen opposite him in this film released in 1988. Aamir Khan has worked in many hit and blockbuster films in his career.
