He will be the main antagonist in the action-packed Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is currently making headlines for his film Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life. Directed by Blessy and based on the novel of the same name, the film is a survival drama depicting the story of a Malayali immigrant labourer forced into slavery by goatherds in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. While the movie continues to perform well at the box office, Prithviraj has another big-budget film set to release next week. He will portray the main antagonist in the action-packed Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Prithviraj’s look in the film has not been revealed in the trailer or other promotional materials. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan marks Prithviraj’s return to Hindi cinema after seven years, having previously appeared as the villain in 2017’s Naam Shabana, starring Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo. He has also featured in other Hindi films such as Aurangzeb and Aiyyaa. However, it took time for Prithviraj to gain recognition in Hindi cinema. He recently shared anecdotes about his experience on the sets of his first Hindi film, where he went unnoticed.

Prithviraj ventured into Hindi cinema with Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Although the film was simultaneously shot in Tamil, most of the crew hailed from the North. At around 25 years old at the time, Prithviraj revealed that nobody on set recognized him, although they were all familiar with Vikram. He even overheard people on set remarking, “No idea who he is, but if Mani sir has selected him, he must be good.” Despite the lack of acknowledgement, Prithviraj cherished the experience of working with Mani Ratnam. The renowned director even personally congratulated the actor after watching Aadujeevitham. Meanwhile, Prithviraj’s upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is scheduled for release on April 10.
