Dunki: Shaan Reacts To Edited Duet With Shreya Ghoshal From SRK Film, Says 'Film Is Top Priority...'

Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated film Dunki finally hit the theatres today. So far, the film has been receiving lovely responses from fans and critcs like. Apart from that, the songs from the film have been garnering immensee love from fans. However, there was another beautiful number sung by Shaan, which couldn’t make it to film’s final edit. The singer has now reacted to the same.

Taking to his X handle, Shaan penned a note congratulating Rajkumar Hirani and also revealed why his duet song with Shreya Ghosal, didn’t make it to the final edit. He wrote, “Good Morning !!! Aaj #Dunki Day hai … im super excited!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT !! I’m sure Everyone is Going to love the Movie !!! I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film ..”

Shaan also mentioned that even though it was unfortunate that the song couldn’t be a part of the film, Hirani was ‘very transparent’about the same. He tagged Shreya Ghoshal and wrote, “The song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with @shreyaghoshal) “Durr kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturised in Kashmir .. but on the edit table .. it was #RajuHirani ‘s call to drop the song .. (after a lot of contemplation.. ) He was very transparent about it with me.. and I really appreciate that.. and I fully understand that the Film is top priority. Hopefully You will get to hear the Song in His Future Project .. but not in #Dunki .. ❤️.”

Along with Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal role. The film has been receiving good reviews from fans and critics. New18 Showsha gave the film 4 stars and a part of their review read, “What keeps Dunki afloat is Shah Rukh Khan. After watching him turn into an action hero with Pathaan and Jawan, it’s refreshing to see him do something that allows him to flex his acting muscles. SRK brings a rare vulnerability, honesty, and earnest dignity to his character. His innocence and charm win us over with sheer heart and it is this heart that counts in a Hirani movie.
