I Regret Not Spending Enough Time With Her, Says Sanjay Dutt About Mother Nargis
Sanjay Dutt made these revelations recently while attending the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol Season 14.

Sanjay Dutt is one of the popular actors in the Indian film industry. He started his journey with Bollywood films, and has now made his name in the South movie industry as well. Sanjay Dutt was seen in superhit South movies like KGF Chapter 2 and Leo. He recently attended the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol Season 14 as a guest. On this occasion, Sanjay Dutt became emotional while remembering his mother, actress Nargis Dutt on the show. The 14th season of Indian Idol premiered on October 7, 2023. This season, the show is judged by singers Shreya Ghosal, Kumar Sanu and Vishal Dadlani. The latest promo of the show featuring Sanjay Dutt has now gone viral.

In the promo, Sanjay Dutt became emotional while talking about his parents, Narigis and Sunil Dutt. He also shared how he realised the importance of spending time with his parents; and added that this realisation dawned upon him only after their demise. “In fact, at that time my mother used to invite me to chat with her for a while, to spend some time with her. She always said that I didn’t know when she would leave, but I didn’t listen to her at that time. If I had listened to her then, I would have spent some time with her,” said Sanjay Dutt on the show. He also said that he still regrets not giving enough time to his mother while she was alive.

During the show, Shreya Ghoshal asks Sanjay Dutt about his father Sunil Dutt. It is believed that Sanjay Dutt was very close to his father. Answering the question, Sanjay said that people often become careless with their parent’s existence. They tend to take their presence for granted. He asks people to take care of their parents and spend a good time with them.

Nargis Dutt was an actress who started her career as a child artist with the film Talash-e-Haq which was released in 1935. Nargis Dutt was one of the leading actresses of Hindi cinema during the 1950s. She died due to pancreatic cancer in 1981. She left the world three days before her son Sanjay Dutt’s debut movie Rocky.
