IND W vs ENG W: MCA Announces Free Entry For Fans at Wankhede Stadium
The three-match series will begin on Wednesday as all the games will be played at Wankhede Stadium.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced that the fans can come and watch the three-match T20I series between India women’s and England women’s free at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The three-match series will begin on Wednesday as all the games will be played at Wankhede Stadium.

“All fans are welcome to walk into Wankhede and watch the England Women’s Tour of India for free,” the MCA stated in a post shared on their social media platform X.

Earlier, MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik also stated that the apex council passed the decision of free entry for fans for the India vs England series to encourage women’s cricket.

“MCA president Amol Kale and the apex council unanimously passed the decision to encourage support for women’s cricket,” said secretary Ajinkya Naik.

“Unlocking the gates for free entry not only fills the stadium but also opens the door to a world of empowerment through women’s T20 cricket,” added Naik.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led India have had a successful year in the shortest format so far, winning the gold medal in the Asian Games, an away series against Bangladesh by 2-1 and also making it to the final of the triangular series in South Africa, with West Indies as the third side.

On the other hand, world No. 2 England will look to overcome the disappointment of losing to Sri Lanka 1-2 at home.

World No. 4 India have a poor record at home in T20Is as well as against England in general and the hosts will hope to come up with something special.

The England women’s team players will use the experience playing at the venue during Women’s Premier League next season while some youngsters will also look to grab the attention of the franchise owners ahead of the WPL 2024 auction.
