Jawan Box Office Collection Day 11: Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, refuses to slow down at the box office despite nearly two weeks of its release. The Atlee directorial continues to make moolah at the ticket window. On its second Sunday, Jawan reportedly earned around Rs 13.16 crores nett in all languages.
According to a report in Sacnilk.com, Jawan performed exceptionally well on its first 11 days at the box office and minted roughly around Rs 477.3 crore nett in India. Its 12th-day box office collection is around Rs 13.16 crore nett, taking its current total to Rs 490.46 crore nett. The film is likely to cross Rs 500 crore mark in India today.
Meanwhile, Atlee confirmed that Jawan’s budget was over Rs 300 crores. “I narrated the film on a Zoom call during Covid times. I know theatrical footfall was going down and people were not ready to greenlight even a 30-40 crore film. I know because I am also a producer. But sir [Shah Rukh Khan] greenlighted a Rs 300 cr film when everyone was skeptical. But we didn’t stop at Rs 300 cr. We went more. We made a blockbuster in three days and now, we are flying,” he said at the Jawan success press meet.
Jawan has been receiving support from fans and stars across the country. From Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar to Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh, the film has impressed all. Jawan revolves around a vigilante out to seek revenge from corrupt ministers and a businessman because of whom, women landed in jail. The film features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role — a soldier named Vikram Rathore and his son, a jailer, named Azad. Deepika and Nayanthara play his respective love interests in the film. The makers have also hinted about a sequel to the movie.
