KWK 8: Kiara Advani Says Her Parents Are Of Same Age As Karan Johar

Koffee With Karan season 8 has been entertaining viewers with fresh new episodes every Thursday on Disney+Hotstar. Hosted by Karan Johar, the celebrity chat show has witnessed the arrival of some A-listed Bollywood celebs including Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday-Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt-Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Sidharth Malhotra-Varun Dhawan among others. The latest celebrity pair who appeared on the ‘koffee’ couch are Lust Stories co-stars Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal. The promo of the episode, scheduled to telecast on December 7 indicates that the two talked about their married life and proposal stories. But, the most hilarious twist of KWK was Kiara Advani poking fun at KJo, calling him to be the same age as her parents.

During the conversation, Kiara Advani revealed that Sidharth Malhotra got along with her parents pretty well. Attributing to the same point, the Shershaah actress revealed that her parents were the same age as Karan Johar. Presumably embarrassed, KJo opposed the statement and asked Kiara to disclose the correct age of her parents. “About 58” she said, to which Karan replied, “I am 51” indicating that he was seven years younger, contradicting what Kiara claimed. But in her witty response, Kiara continued that all 50-plus men felt they were young leading to Karan saying, “She is not stopping.”

One of the special highlights of the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8 will be Kiara Advani spilling the beans on how Sidharth Malhotra asked her hand for marriage. Their dreamy proposal also had a special Shershaah factor. The actress shared that they were vacationing in Rome. Although her parents were in Mumbai, Sidharth’s parents accompanied the couple. During the trip, Sidharth took her to a restaurant and arranged a candlelight dinner, while his nephew was assigned the responsibility of capturing the special moment.

“He takes me up for a walk and suddenly a violinist comes out of the bushes playing and sweetly his nephew taking our video from the bushes and Sid goes on one knee and proposes. I was so overwhelmed. Then he starts saying the lines of Shershaah. He’s like, ‘Dilli ka sidha sadha launda hu (I’m a simple boy from Delhi) with the full dialogues of Shershaah and I burst out laughing,” revealed Kiara Advani.

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra kept their relationship hush-hush for quite some time before tying the nuptial knot on February 7.
