Shriya Jha On How Mother Amardeep Jha Helped Her Learn The Craft For Web Series Adrishyam

Shriya Jha, the daughter of the senior actress Amardeep Jha, stepped into the realm of acting about a decade back. The actress has been part of some notable TV shows, and now she will co-star with Divyanka Tripathi and Eijaz Khan in the web series Adrishyam. In her latest interview, the actress shed some light on her role in the thrilling series and the support she has received from her mother, who herself is an established actress in the industry.

Sharing details about the web series, Shriya Jha told ETimes, “Adrishyam is a unique show and a lovely concept. When the show was narrated to me, there was no way I was going to say no to it. Also, to share screen space with such good actors who know their work beautifully is just a huge plus. I can’t wait for the audiences to see what we have put together.” She expressed that for her what matters is how convincing a role is. She is not ready to do a “blink and miss role” if it does not impact the storyline. She added, “I understand the competition in today’s time is huge and I continuously try and give my best in all that I take up.”

She mentioned how her mother has constantly supported her. “She is a friend and someone whom I have learnt my craft from. It’s always a plus to have someone so seasoned around you to teach you the basics,” said the actress.

Shriya is a well-known actress who has been acclaimed for her parts in the Telugu film Gita, Bengali and Odia films such as Tomar Jonyo, Luchakali, Shatru Sanghar, and many others. She has also appeared on television shows like Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Uttaran, Nimki Mukhiya, and Ziddi Dil Maane Na.

The makers of Adrishyam- The Invisible Heroes had released a teaser, which has the audience excited for the series. The trailer depicts Divyanka Tripathi as a diligent mother who goes shopping at a mall with her kid, and there she spots an opponent with malevolent intentions. Divyanka tricks her child and searches for the potential threat in the changing room. The series is directed by Anshuman Kishore Singh and stars Swaroopa Ghosh, Tarun Anand, Chirag Mehra, Roshnee Rai, Parag Chadha, Zara Khan, and others. Adrishyam will premiere on Sony Liv. The streaming date has yet to be revealed.
