Durga Puja festivities have kickstarted in full swing and Bollywood is all set for the celebrations. Durga Puja has now become a global event following its inclusion in Unesco’s intangible cultural heritage list in 2021. The fervor and excitement can even be seen among celebrities as they are thronging to the Puja pandals to take part in the festivities. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is no exception. She visited the Puja pandal where Rani and Kajol have been celebrating.
Sonam looked gorgeous in a red anarkali that she paired with heavy, traditional jewellery. She accesorised the look with chandbalis and a heavy neckpiece and tied back her long hair in a pony tail. Post seeking the Goddess’ blessings, Sonam posed for the paps.
Earlier today, Rani and Kajol were also seen celebrating Maha Navami. For the fourth day of Durga Puja festivities, Rani opted for a beige sari featuring a powder blue border and a matching blouse. She accessorised her look with with stacked neckpieces featuring precious stones. Kajol wore a beige silk sari and paired it with a heavily embroidered blouse. Both the sisters accessorised the looks with dainty jasmine flowers in their hair buns. They offered prayers to Ma Durga and posed for the paps.
Sonam, meanwhile, took to Instagram to share that her family has moved into a new house in Mumbai.
“We moved into our new house this week .. our hearts are filled with joy and hope and we can’t wait to make new memories here,” she wrote. Sonam spends most of her time in London with her husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu. She was last seen in the OTT release, Blind.
