New Delhi: Virtual linen being washed on Twitter ain’t new and ad-man Suhel Seth and filmmaker Pritish Nandy took it to new heights today. From calling each other names on public forum, to nasty remarks, none of them left any stone unturned to the amusement of fellow Twiterrati.
Twitter spats have been around for a while now. The West has had ample examples of celebrities lashing out at each other.
Well this is not the first time celebs got catty on Twitter in India. Their public display of dislike and hatred have been quite evident in the past as well.
Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma have continually taken pot shots at each other. And who can forget the famous episode of Sonam Kapoor calling Shobhaa De a “fossil”!
But Twitter, like other social media forums, is not governed by editors, as traditional news and information outlets are. It’s all out there to read it all where these two said it all!
Derek O’Brien was one of the first ones to react to the ongoing virtual mud singling. He said, “I suspect tha last ‘spat’ between @pritishnandy and @suhelseth will quailfy for tweet-fixing. Got up match?”
Lets wait and watch if the former friends were really at war or were getting a kick out of a mock-battle.
