Here's How Google CEO Sundar Pichai Reacted On His Viral AI Speech
Brian Tong, who talks a lot about tech stuff, couldn't resist making a funny observation. He noticed that the last two letters of Sundar Pichai's name are "AI".

Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently talked about the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and Google’s plans for 2024 in a conversation with tech content creator Brian Tong. However, things took a fun turn when Tong noticed that the last two letters of Pichai’s name spell “AI,” and linked it to his viral AI speech.

Brian Tong, who talks a lot about tech stuff, couldn’t resist making a funny observation. He noticed that the last two letters of Sundar Pichai’s name are “AI” and joked, “Has anyone ever told you that AI is in your name?”

With a laugh, Pichai admitted, “You know, I didn’t realise it, but I had a good laugh at Google I/O when someone made a video of me saying ‘AI, AI, AI, AI.'” The interview then showed a clip of Pichai repeating “AI” and “generative AI” at the event. Pichai added, “I found it amusing – it was fun to watch. The name twist was a nice touch.”

Tong, inspired by the funny coincidence, jokingly said, “We could make T-shirts out of it and sell them.” Pichai, being practical and replied, “No, probably not a good idea.”

Meanwhile, at its annual Google for India event, the US-based tech giany announced that it will start assembling Pixel smartphones in India and the first smartphone from that will come with the ‘Made in India’ tag will be the newly launched Pixel 8.

Google has been working behind the scenes to expand its manufacturing base outside of China just like Apple and this announcement shows that Google sees India as an important market and will focus on the country for years to come.

“We shared plans at #GoogleforIndia to manufacture Pixel smartphones locally and expect the first devices to roll out in 2024. We’re committed to being a trusted partner in India’s digital growth- appreciate the support for Make In India @PMOIndia+ MEIT Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw,” Google CEO Pichai wrote on social media platform X.
