Vivo sub-brand iQOO announced on Wednesday that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 12 series, will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The Chinese smartphone brand recently confirmed the launch of the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro next month in its home country. The company has also claimed that the iQOO 12 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s most powerful processor in India.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took to micro-blogging platform X (previously called Twitter) and announced the news. “#iQOO12 + #Snapdragon8Gen3 = The ultimate performance duo. #ComingSoon.” Now, we can expect the next-gen smartphones from iQOO to launch in India as well. More details related to iQOO 12 India launch can be expected after the China launch event, which on November 7.

According to a Weibo post, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro launch event will be held in China at 4:30pm IST on November 7 (Tuesday). The iQOO 12 series is confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. . This premium mobile chipset was introduced at the Snapdragon Summit this week. The upcoming iQOO 12 series is expected to run on the Android 14 operating system.
The iQOO 12 series is expected to offer triple camera setup on the rear side, comprising a 50MP with optical image stabilisation (OIS), 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64MP telephoto sensor with 3x zoom and OIS support.
According to a report from Gadgets360, the vanilla iQOO 12 model will be backed by a large 4,880mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro model will pack a massive 4,980mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
The iQOO 12 is also expected to come with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
