A Delhi-based lawyer, named Vineet Jindal, has reportedly received life threat from a terrorist organisation for filing a complaint against Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan.
On Tuesday night, Jindal took to his verified X account to state that he had filed a complaint with the Delhi Police after receiving life threat from the terrorist organisation ‘Hizbul Mujahideen’ over a phone call. He further asked the Delhi Police Special Cell and DCP North-West Delhi to take prompt action.

In his letter addressed to the ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, Jindal mentioned that Rizwan’s act of offering Namaz in the middle of a cricket match was an ‘intentional depiction of his religion’ and called it against the spirit of the game. The advocate also shared the letter on the microblogging site X, tagging the BCCI, Pakistan Cricket Board and the ICC.

PCB lodges protest with the ICC
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the ICC over ‘inappropriate conduct’ of the fans during its team’s high-profile World Cup match against India in Ahmedabad.
The PCB also lodged a protest with the International Cricket Council over lack of visas issued to Pakistani journalists and fans hoping to attend the 2023 World Cup.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023,” the PCB posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023,” it added.
