Many people exclusively visit pubs and sports bars to watch screenings of World Cup matches. All liquor shops in the city will also be closed on the day of the festival, as per an order issued by the excise department on Thursday (November 16).
Chhath is a prominent festival in which the sun is worshipped. It is mostly observed by those belonging to Purvanchal, eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Delhi has prepared more than 900 ghats for devotees to worship the sun.
