2 Children Killed, One Critical After Being Hit by Car in Karan Bhushan Singh's Convoy in UP's Gonda

Two children were killed and one is critical after allegedly being hit by a car in BJP candidate Karan Bhushan Singh’s convoy in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda. The injured child has been hospitalised while the vehicle was seized and its driver was arrested by the police, News18 sources said.

According to the sources, the police is tight-lipped about the presence of Karan Bhushan Singh in the convoy. He is contesting from the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency in place of his father and sitting MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The car that allegedly hit the children is registered under the name of an entity owned by the former WFI chief’s family, they added.

Sources said the convoy was moving towards Huzurpur on Colonelganj-Huzurpur Road when three children were trying to cross the road near Baikunth Degree College, and were crushed by one of the vehicles. Family members and local residents rushed the injured child to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment, they added.

There are reports of people blocking the road, demanding action while the police are also at the spot.
