Kanyakumari: CPM's Tamil Nadu State Secretary Ramakrishnan said on Friday at Marthandam that the AIADMK-led alliance would win the majority in the Tamil Nadu polls and AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa would become the next Chief Minister.
People had "realised about DMK's corruption and they are willing for a change" Ramakrishnan said.
Charging DMK of "not obeying the election rules and illegally transferring money to the public", he alleged the M Karunanidhi-led government had "failed in all departments in the last five years of its rule".
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi had not mentioned the actions to be taken to control the increase in price of essential commodities during his election campaign, Ramakrishnan alleged.
He also welcomed Friday’s judgment of the Madras High Court, which he said had allowed the Election Commission to conduct a free and fair polls in the state.
The High Court ordered the EC to take all steps to curb malpractices and money distribution to public and maintain law and order to ensure free and fair polls to the Tamil Nadu assembly.
