BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday resigned as a member of Rajya Sabha. He was representing the seat from Himachal Pradesh whose term was ending in April.

Nadda, who has been leading the BJP as its chief since 2020, was recently elected unopposed from Gujarat in the Upper House of Parliament. He resigned from his Himachal seat to take oath as a Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat.

Amid speculations that Nadda may contest Lok Sabha polls, Gujarat BJP said he has not resigned as Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat.
