Key departments including Home and Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, Technical Education and Employment, and Science and Technology were assigned to Vijay Sharma.

Urban Administration, Law and Legislative Affairs, Public Works, and Public Health Engineering ministries would be under the leadership of another Deputy Chief Minister, Arun Sao.

O P Choudhary was assigned, besides Finance, Commercial Tax, Housing and Environment and Planning, Economics, and Statistics departments.
