Yeddyurappa's counsel had told the court that no prima facie case could be made out against him.

Bangalore: The bail plea of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa will come up for hearing on Friday.

On Thursday, Yeddyurappa's counsel told the Karnataka High Court that no prima facie case could be made out against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the land scams.

Meanwhile, petitioner Sirajin Pasha opposed his bail plea in the High Court.

Yeddyurappa was arrested on October 15 after a special Lokayukta court charged him in alleged irregularities in denotifying government land.

However, Yeddyurappa was shifted to a hospital on October 16 citing chest pains. He returned to jail on Wednesday after getting discharged from the hospital on Tuesday only to get admitted in another hospital the very same evening.

There were reports that he was upset with LK Advani over his comment on corruption in the BJP and that was the main reason he wanted to shift to jail despite his poor health

The former Karnataka chief minister on Saturday was remanded to judicial custody till October 22 after he surrendered before the Lokayukta court after it rejected his bail plea and issued arrest warrant against him.
