Patna: BJP on Tuesday condemned the transfer of the Haryana IAS officer probing land dealings of Robert Vadra and said an emergency-like situation was prevailing in the country under the UPA rule. "An emergency-like situation is prevailing in the country under the UPA rule...those who speak against the government or Sonia Gandhi family are dealt with severely," BJP spokesman Syed Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters here.
He was reacting to late night transfer of senior Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka after he terminated a land deal between the real estate major DLF and Robert Vadra. On allegations against Union Law Minister Salman Khursid of financial irregularities in an NGO run by him, Hussain said the minister should accept his alleged guilt.
He said BJP would support no-confidence motion against Manmohan Singh government in Parliament in the winter session on FDI and slashing quota of LPG cylinders when it is moved by TMC. On RJD and other opposition observing band in Bihar yesterday on the Madhubani incident, the BJP leader said they
were tarnishing image of the state on "unfounded" issues.
