Letter to Rajnath Singh:

Date: 14/12/2013

Rajnath Singh ji,

President, BJP

New Delhi

Dear Rajnath Singh ji,

Senior BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari and Vijay Goel have offered an unconditional support of the party to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to form government in Delhi. But we have never sought BJP's support.

Being born an anti-Congress, anti-BJP party, AAP can't join hands with you. When rampant corruption left the common man grieving, they themselves came forward to form the Aam Aadmi Party. So how can the Aam Aadmi Party join hands with the Congress and BJP.

As your party has offered us an unconditional support, the citizens of the country want to know what your intentions are since we have never asked for your support.

The residents of Delhi are frustrated with the Congress-rule in the state in the past 15 years. The government, rather than redressing their grievances, has aggravated their misery. BJP leaders in Delhi municipal corporations too have been indulged in corrupt practices. The party in its seven years rule has looted the municipal corporations. So if you want to support the Aam Aadmi Party then what would be your stand on these issues? What is your intention behind offering us support?

Politics has become a vehicle to roam the corridors of power. No political party has to do anything with the problems of the citizens. You do only politics. But we haven't joined politics to come to power. We are with the people in their fight against corruption and price rise.

I hope that your party will make your stand clear on the issues I am raising with his letter. Since transparency and veracity are the fundamental principles of our party, I am putting this letter in front of the common man. Let's see what they want the Aam Aadmi Party to do.

Please clear your stand, remove all ambiguities, we don't want ambiguous statements like " BJP and AAP are together in principle" or "we will clear our stand only when these issues are raised in the Delhi legislature".

It's very sad that the BJP is playing politics on the issues concerning the people of Delhi. On one hand, the BJP says its offer to support the AAP is in favour of Delhi citizens, on the other hand the party accuses us of making a secret deal with the Congress to form government.

Waiting for your early reply,

Arvind Kejriwal

Letter to Sonia Gandhi:

Date: 14/12/2013

Smt Sonia Gandhi ji,

President, Congress Party

New Delhi

Dear Sonia Gandhi ji

The Congress has offered its unconditional support to the Aam Aadmi Party without our asking them to do so. The Aam Aadmi Party came into existence to oppose criminal, corrupt and communal politics of the Congress and BJP.

When the whole country was in pain due to corruption, the people came together and decided to form their own party and raise their voice. So how can the Aam Aadmi Party join hands with the Congress and BJP.

As your party has decided to extend its support to our party, the people want to know the intentions behind your move.

There are some burning issues related to the people of Delhi because of which they are facing huge difficulties. The 15-year rule of Congress has instead complicated these problems.

The BJP in its seven years rule has looted the municipal corporation. So if you want to support the Aam Aadmi Party then what would be your stand on these issues?

Today, the politics has become a tool of gaining power in the country. Every party wants to gain power by any means and nobody has anything to do with the people's problems. We haven't come to politics to gain power.

I hope that your party will make your stand clear on the issues I am raising with his letter. Since transparency and veracity are the fundamental principles of our party, I am putting this letter in front of the common man. Let's see what they want the Aam Aadmi Party to do.

Please clear your stand as we don't want ambiguous statements like " Congress and AAP are together in principle" or "we will clear our stand only when these issues are raised in the Delhi legislature".

It's very sad that the Congress is playing politics on the issues concerning the people of Delhi. On one hand, the BJP says its offer to support the AAP is in favour of Delhi citizens, on the other hand the party accuses us of making a secret deal with the Congress to form government.

Waiting for your early reply,

Arvind Kejriwal
