New Delhi: The home of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) chief ministerial candidate V K Malhotra wore a deserted look on Monday morning after the initial leads in favour of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress as counting of votes polled Nov 29 in the Delhi Assembly elections progressed.
Malhotra's residence on 6, Bishambhar Das Marg that remained a centre of all political activities all through the election campaign wore a forlorn look.
Party leaders said there were many party workers at his house in the morning along with drum beaters. All of them dispersed shortly after.
When media persons approached him in the morning, 77-year-old Malhotra was not willing to predict a victory and also said he would not go to the counting stations.
"There is no need to visit the counting centre. My family members will go," a visibly nervous Malhotra said.
Only those working with his office can be seen at the office. Malhotra himself is leading in the Greater Kailash constituency.
