In the latest barb thrown by Narendra Modi on Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, the Prime Minister mocked the Bihar CM for his promise of providing computers to the youth in the state.
Recalling Nitish's promise, Modi said, "Nitishji you talk about giving computers when there is no electricity in the state. What will people do of computers without electricity. And also, your computer has been hit by Lalu virus," he said.
Modi also took a jibe at Nitish after a video of him meeting a tantrik had surfaced. He claimed that since the members of the Grand alliance, comprising of JDU, RJD and Congress, are seeing that they are losing in the state, they are reaching out to tantriks.
"Does Bihar need 'mantra-tantra or democracy? Will people with a mentality of the 18th century run the state? Will Bihar prosper in the hands of such people," he asked at a rally in Bihar ahead of the third phase of polling on October 28.
Reaching out to the voters with his election agenda, Modi said that his goal for the state comprises of "Electricity, water and roads." He added that apart from these essentials, he will also focus on "education, health sector and employment."
Modi claimed that the second Green Revolution will come from Bihar. "You have the resources, land and potential. Bihar is not bereft of water but the farm lands do not get water. If we make that happen, farmers will reap gold from the earth," he said.
