NCP chief Sharad Pawar to contest from Madha
Pawar's candidature from Madha was announced by the NCP on Saturday.

New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar will contest Lok Sabha elections from the newly created Madha constituency in Solapur district of Maharsahtra.

Pawar's candidature from Madha was announced by the NCP on Saturday. He represented Baramati in 14th Lok Sabha.

Madha has Assembly constituencies from both Solapur and Satara district and has five sitting NCP MLAs.

Her daughter Supriya Sule is contesting from Baramati in Pune district. Sule is currently a Rajya Sabha member.

The NCP had announced her name from Baramati even before it decided on the seat-sharing formula with the Congress.

Congress has an alliance with the NCP in Maharashtra.
