New Delhi: Janata Dal United Chief Nitish Kumar, who is set to take over as Chief Minister for the third straight term in Bihar on Friday, is likely to keep the Home Ministry portfolio.
Speculations over who will be the next Deputy Chief Minister of the state is also expected to be finalised soon as names of one of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Yadav’s son is emerging as a strong contender for the plum position.
Sources said the finance ministry will go to Abdul Bari Siddiqui of RJD. It is also learnt that a majority of 16 ministries will go to RJD while 14 ministries will go to JDU. The sources also added that Congress will get four ministries.
Several politicians including Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, among others are expected to attend the ceremony on Friday.
