New Delhi: Further fuelling speculations of a possible secular front, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to visit Delhi on Sunday to attend a meeting in this concern.
He will be meeting leaders from the 14 party-group that was formed after the anti-communal convention in October 2013.
Nitish Kumar is likely to hold a series of meetings during his stay in Delhi till Tuesday.
Earlier this week, MPs from the Left parties, AIADMK, Janata Dal (United), Biju Janata Dal, Janata Dal (Secular), Asom Gana Parishad and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) had met to work out a common floor strategy against the government.
The AIADMK has already cemented an alliance with the Communist Party of India and Communist Party of India (Marxist) for the general elections.
Breaking its 17-year-old alliance with the BJP and not keen on sharing the anti-incumbency of the Congress, Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal United leader Nitish Kumar has marched forward for a secular front.
Nitish had earlier in the week said, "There is a possibility of alliance with CPI in Bihar. We are focusing on a larger alliance at the national level. This will be a non-Congress and non-BJP front."
The first signs of such a rainbow coalition were seen on October 30, 2013 in Delhi when these parties had joined hands during the anti-communalism convention.
