24. Pohari is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Gwalior Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Pohari falls in Shivpuri district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,15,685 voters in the seat, which includes 1,16,410 male voters, and 99,271 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Pohari recorded a voter turnout of 75.42%. In 2013 the turnout was 73.41%, and in 2008 it was 73.78%.
In 2013, Prahlad Bharti of BJP won the seat by a margin of 3,625 votes (2.37%). Prahlad Bharti secured 34.7% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 19,390 votes (16.98%), registering 39.59% of the total votes polled.
