Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is set to hold a meeting with senior party leaders from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday to discuss and prepare for the 2017 Assembly polls.
New Delhi: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is set to hold a meeting with senior party leaders from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday to discuss and prepare for the 2017 Assembly polls.
Senior strategist Prashant Kishor is also slated to attend the meeting.
Kishor had managed the poll campaigns of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and of Nitish Kumar during the Bihar Assembly polls.
Earlier, reports had said that the Congress had decided to rope in Kishor for the UP Assembly polls after the strategist’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
Reports had also said that Kishor would report to Gandhi directly and is likely to pitch for a larger role for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
