Sushma says it: NDA may need help after polls
Sushma says NDA will seek support of other parties after Lok Sabha polls.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is not sure of getting majority on its own in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said.

Swaraj, who is on an election campaign in Bhopal, said the BJP is a strong contender to emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections but will seek support for parties outside the NDA if the alliance fails to secure majority on its own..

"See if NDA comes out and emerges as a single largest coalition and BJP as a single largest party then there are all possibilities and we are moving towards that direction," she said in Bhopal on Wednesday.

"I am not sure that NDA will get majority on its own or not but if NDA emerges as a single largest coalition then the post poll alliances… We will be able to form the government with that," she said.

Sushma is contesting elections from Vidisha in madhya Pradesh.

The BJP has already lost a major ally in Biju Janata Dal in Orissa and is finding the going tough in states like Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
