HanuMan is the second collaboration between actor Teja Sajja and director Prasanth Varma after Zombie Reddy in 2021.

The much-anticipated Telugu movie of 2024, HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja and directed by Prasanth Varma, is set to be the first instalment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 12, coinciding with Makar Sankranti, the film has garnered attention not only for its unique storyline but also for the clash with other major releases such as Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga.

The pre-release event for HanuMan took place in Hyderabad on January 7, with megastar Chiranjeevi gracing the occasion as the chief guest. However, the clash with other films has posed challenges for the makers in securing screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Despite this, the pre-release business details have been revealed, showing a worldwide collection of Rs 26.65 crore.

The break-even target for the film stands at Rs 27.50 crore as it enters theatres. The Nizam region contributes significantly to the pre-release business, with Rs 7.15 crore, and an additional seeding of Rs 4 crore by the makers in the state. In Andhra Pradesh, the pre-release business amounts to Rs 9.50 crore, bringing the total for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to Rs 20.65 crore. The rest of India contributes Rs 2 crore to the pre-release business, while overseas collections reach Rs 4 crore.

Ticket rates for HanuMan in Telangana Multiplexes are set at Rs 295, while in Hyderabad city, single-screen ticket prices will be Rs 150. In other parts of Andhra Pradesh, tickets for single screens will be sold at Rs 110.

The film’s narrative revolves around a young man blessed with extraordinary powers bestowed upon him by Lord Hanuman. HanuMan is not limited to the Telugu audience, as it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese languages. The cinematography for the film is handled by Shivendra, and the music is composed by the trio Gowrahari, Anudeep Dev, and Krishna Saurabh. Teja Sajja, who gained fame with the 2021 release of Zombie Reddy, marks his second collaboration with director Prasanth Varma in this highly anticipated film.
