The launch of the iPhone 16 series is still over six months away, and the rumous mill is starting to pick up the pace. Until now, reports have suggested the possibility of a ‘capture button’ and a designed camera module for the standard iPhone 16. Now, shifting focus to the specifications, it has been tipped that the flagship model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, could feature Apple’s longest battery life ever in an iPhone.
As reported by MacRumors, a Naver user called ‘yeux1122,’ based on their supply chain sources, has revealed multiple potential details about the upcoming iPhone models, including a size increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro, and how this would allow for better optical zoom ability.
Plus, the user mentioned that the iPhone 16 Pro series will last longer thanks to improvements made in power consumption. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, in particular, is expected to feature the longest battery life in an iPhone thanks to a larger battery cell. This could allow it to surpass the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s claimed battery life of 29 hours and may potentially cross the 30-hour mark as well.
Notably, this corroborates with what tipster Majin Bu reported last week when he said that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a 4,676 mAh battery cell. Interestingly, Bu said that the iPhone 16 Plus, the other “large” iPhone in the series may see a battery capacity drop. That said, it is worth being skeptical and keeping expectation in check until the launch.
