New Delhi: In what seems to be a move to address prevalent battery woes of iPhone users, Apple has quietly introduced a battery case that is claimed to extend the iPhone's battery life by a day.
Priced at $99, the Smart Battery Case comes with a built-in battery and can be easily snapped on to an iPhone6/6s. As per the company's claims, it increases the phone's battery life by up to 25 hours.
"Charge your iPhone and battery case simultaneously for increased talk time up to 25 hours, Internet use up to 18 hours on LTE, and even longer audio and video playback," says Apple's product lisitng page.
Available in charcoal grey and white colours, the case is charged via a standard Lightning port and can be charged simultaneously with the iPhone.
With the Smart Battery Case on, the "intelligent battery status" is displayed on the iPhone Lock screen and in Notification Center, so you know exactly how much charge you have left.
The soft microfibre lining on the inside of the Smart Battery Case is said to help protect the iPhone, while the soft elastomer hinge design, as the company claims, makes it easy to put the case on and take it off again.
